Barnby Dun canal and Glass Park circular walk

Exit the car park towards the road and turn left over the canal lift bridge. Cross the road and enter the canal tow path through the metal gate. You should be on a tarmac pathway with the canal on your right.
As you walk down along the canal the pathway will turn grassy and uneven for a short portion before coming in to a small parking area.
Continue straight along the side of the canal and go through a narrow opening next to the gate, which is big enough for prams/bikes. From here you can enjoy the walk down the edge of the canal for 0.8 miles.
At the end of the canal towpath you will come to another parking area. Walk though this car park on the the road and past St Oswald's Church. After the church take the first left down Moor Lane. As Moor Lane takes a right hand corner, come off the road and continue straight ahead in to Glass Park.
Follow the uneven track all the way around the park until you come to an open grassed clearing. To the left here there is a small path leading to a bridge, go over this then you can continue straight across the field.
